A birdhouse on a tile by Klaas Kuiden

Birdhouse Rooftile - Teja Nido

Whenever we talk about a ecological cover we think of a green roof, a green roof. But in this case, the Dutch designer Klaas Kuiken, in collaboration with the Vogelbescherming (Association holadesa de pájaros), has thought a different way of collaborating with the environment... give shelter to the birds of the city by reusing the space of the tile roofs thanks to the Birdhouse Rooftile (Tile Nest).

Birdhouse Rooftile

The invention is simple, To a ceramic tile is added a house for the bird that can take advantage of the space under cover to build his nest and establish his residence. The system is complemented by an inner basket that prevents the bird from nesting without causing problems to the rest of the deck.
