A contemporary space with respect for tradition
The neighborhood of Barcelona Borne, one of the oldest and most trendy neighborhoods in the city, is the most appropriate environment for this house completely renovated by the study of architecture and interior design Egue and Seta. A work that perfectly combines the flavor of the original and autochthonous with the restoration of the wooden beams, the door frames and the floor of hydraulic pavement, with more current and contemporary elements that give it a completely renewed appearance and distribution and adapted to the style and rhythm of current life.

DISTRIBUTION
The most novel approach of this house goes through its distribution, out of the ordinary, which avoids transition areas such as corridors and halls, replacing partitions with garden screens that not only help to give a sense of visual amplitude, but also give way to natural light that is distributed evenly throughout the space. All without sacrificing privacy in the most intimate areas of the house.

KITCHEN-DINING ROOM
Located in the center of the building and occupying a third of the surface of it, it becomes the central axis and distributor of the house around which the rest of the rooms are arranged. In this way, he assumes an indisputable leading role that makes him the center of all social activity in the house.
In it and on the Escher-type hydraulic tile floor, the solid natural wood table stands out, contrasting with the contemporary design of the Eames chairs and industrial luminaires. The kitchen furniture, also recovered wood, on a white subway tile with dark grout, reinforce more if possible its industrial nature where the finishes are reduced to a minimum.

LIVING ROOM
In the living room, the intense turquoise color of the wallpaper on one of the walls of the space stands out, contrasting with the prevailing neutral tone interrupted only by some notes of mandarin color that give it a very modern look. The opposite wall, devoid of decoration, serves as a screen where to show films since the building lacks a television.
At the end of the space, a wardrobe with a folding bed inside converts the living room into a third bedroom for guests.

BEDROOM AND MAIN BATHROOM
The main room is open to the corresponding bathroom only delimited by the existence of a couple of partitions that preserve the most intimate areas, since this has access to an interior courtyard and it is from here where the entire entrance receives light. natural.
To reinforce this feeling of unity, the bedroom was paved with the same coating as in the bathroom, hexagonal glass tiles.
