Like most buildings in the area, the original building was made up of several spaces organized around an era: the house, the barn, the old stables, a warehouse and a large covered porch or badiu that the owner wanted remodel to adapt it to your lifestyle, converting it into a home and several guest pavilions.

For this purpose, it decided to keep the distribution plan, maintaining all existing volumes, restoring facades and roofs and redistributing and renovating the more than 600 square meters of available interior space.

The Badiu

The old porch was transformed and rehabilitated, conserving the old trusses that supported the roof by means of a system of wood and tiles in which there is no grip material and which endorses its deep rural air. Here was located a large outdoor dining room presided by a formidable table and a kitchen with wood burning oven and barbecue that invite to enjoy long feasts with family and friends. The side of the porch was used to create a relaxation area with armchairs from which to rest and enjoy the splendid views.

Interiors

The interior spaces are a succession of rooms, some for guests, others for the owners, where they have preserved some of the original stone walls combined with others in plaster and other times with wood cladding and where you bet on the combination of materials as iron for some support elements. For the floor a combination of wood flooring and hydraulic tile is used, alternating depending on the area where it is located. All in a composition that results warm and cozy without giving up its marking character rural.

Guest pavilion I

One of the guest pavilions takes advantage of the great height of the roof and the inclination of the roof to be distributed in two diaphanous heights communicated by an iron staircase of very light design. This, together with the spectacular suspended fireplace also cast iron, serves to add a modern and industrial touch in a space dominated by natural materials such as stone and wood.

This other guest area, also diaphanous, stands out for its large windows with access to the badiu and where the privileged views pass to form part of the interior design with hardly any effort. As decorative elements, especially the recovered doors of different sizes hung on iron rails illuminated with LED strips in a set of lights that is extremely original.
