A spectacular Nordic apartment with coffered ceilings
Today we bring you this spectacular duplex located in Gothenburg (Sweden), in a building that dates from 1905 and that has been restored in its entirety recently. An apartment with a marked character Nordic and in which it emphasizes especially the squares of its ceiling paneling that confer personality and make it unique in its kind.
Starting at the beginning, the entrance hall welcomes us with a floor hydraulic Moroccan style, very functional because it serves as an area to take off your shoes without messing or spoiling the beautiful and exotic dark wood floor that is in the rest of the house.
From here you can directly access the staircase leading to the most private area of the house and the large open space that is the kitchen and living room.
A large space of 63mtwo with dark wood floors and that contrasts with the white on which all the walls have been painted. The kitchen, white, modern and functional, it plays in contrast to the black countertop and the brick wall seen from the side that also adds texture. On the other hand, the hole in the staircase has been used to the millimeter to place all the appliances that are semi-hidden from the perspective of the room, contributing to give a sense of order and cleanliness.
The living room, the natural extension of the kitchen, is a large, open space that welcomes all visitors as the main axis of the social life of this duplex. There are several elements in it that stand out, on the side of the windows, the great work of carpentry with a piece of furniture that goes from side to side and that serves not only to cover the radiators, but of varied storage space, including a area to store television that can be taken at the time you need.
Other outstanding elements are the large bookcase built into the back wall and of course, the wonderful coffered ceiling that gives it a unique and very special character.
Where is the tv? A solution for minimalist spaces!
On the upper floor is the private area of the house with a bedroom, a study and a bathroom accessed through a staircase with the wall decorated in tartan wallpaper. Enjoy the rest of the visit!
