Before and After: A feminine and chic kitchen

Although the kitchen met all of her needs in terms of distribution and storage capacity, the designer Vanessa Francis felt that it was time to do a good face wash to her kitchen with the aim of giving it a more modern and refined look. Thus, with some simple changes in the finishes, accessories and incorporation of high-end appliances, he managed to transform this space without soul and personality in a striking way.

BEFORE

The starting point was an old kitchen without character, with low-capacity upper cabinets that did not reach the ceiling, a tile wall for splashes at half height, laminated countertop with rounded edges, antique and basic-range appliances and gaskets. ground darkened by the passage of time.

AFTER

With some changes such as the replacement of the tile by subway tile tiles in white and the countertop by a Silestone imitation marble, cleaning of the joints of the floor, and the incorporation of glossy high-end appliances, it was possible to give a feeling of brightness and luminosity that radically transformed the space.

The most striking of the set is the inclusion of wallpaper with floral motifs in the upper half of the wall that brings the touch of femininity just without being too overloaded. In addition, thanks to its color scheme in black and white, allows the inclusion of brushstrokes of color through the details and accessories that can change color as you wish without having to commit to any color palette exclusively.

The incrustation of old mirrors instead of glass in one of the upper cupboards is a very original idea and manages to give a touch of sophistication to the space.

The look is completed with the addition of some details such as stools french coffee style, a simple ceiling lamp for the water area, stainless steel sink with two sinks embedded in the countertop and vintage style chrome tap.

The result, in the words of the designer herself, is a space where the classic style of French coffee and the romantic style of the English countryside meet. Regardless of what you call it, the fact is that it has conquered us, and you?
