Carl Hansen & Son and EOOS present the new Embrace Series

The creators of the Embrace series, Carl Hansen & Son, are expanding this range of products with an unconventional and sculptural furniture concept. For this, this series of products has auxiliary tables, dining tables and a new dining chair. The Embrace Tables and the Embrace Chair further expand the versatility of this amazing series of furniture, designed by the Austrian designers trio EOOS.

EOOS designers collaboration

This new collaboration between Carl Hansen & Son and the innovative designers who hide behind EOOS has become very popular. The collaboration between the trio of Austrian designers and the Danish furniture manufacturer began their creative dialogue with the Embrace Armchair, a reinterpretation of the classic dining chair with soft upholstery and an attractive design. Since then, new creations have been added, such as a chair and a footrest. Currently, Carl Hansen & Son and EOOS want to complement the Embrace chairs with a different table concept, the Embrace Tables, a strong visual identity that makes the series even more versatile.

All Embrace Tables have circular envelopes, specially designed by EOOS to facilitate communication between people. As the Austrian designer trio explains: "Since the first Embrace chairs were designed, we have been working to create the perfect table for the series. The chairs have two main components: the wooden structure, completely in tune with Carl Hansen & Son's DNA, and the upholstery, which softens the sensation of absolute perfection. The tables have three components: a wooden base, a nod to the favorite material of Carl Hansen & Son, a steel cable structure, which replaces the traditional central pillar and a round envelope ».

The tables are not only in line with the chairs, but they can be adapted to any environment or interior space in which communication is key, such as private homes, offices and restaurants.

Poetic inspiration

The trio was inspired by the poetic dance of a kite in the sky. The fine wire structure is reminiscent of the kite rope and the envelopes of the tables refer to the kite itself, while the crossed wooden base acts as an anchor and represents gravity.

Embrace Chair: The design of chairs taken a step further Carl Hansen & Son presents, together with the new Embrace Tables, a new dining chair without armrests that completes the series: The Embrace Chair shares the same essential structure with the chair dining room with armrest. The new chair is visibly lighter and occupies less space, while offering more dynamism and movement. «You can sit as you like, with great freedom of movement. In other words, it is a perfect chair for communication between people », comments EOOS. The Embrace Chair series consists of a dining chair with armrests, a dining chair without armrests, a chair and a footrest, designs born of the same concept: a perfect wooden structure covered by a soft upholstery.
