Quality and aesthetics made to measure with HI-MACS® for a bright chalet in the Netherlands

For some time now, bathrooms and kitchens have ceased to be functional rooms to become an important part of homes around the world. They are areas where people spend a lot of time throughout the day, hence the importance of having a decoration that offers the greatest possible comfort. The same is what has been carried out in a bright chalet designed in the Netherlands, where the use of HI-MACS acrylic stone has helped to achieve that comfort in all areas of the house.

In the Dutch province of North Brabant, the owners of a newly built chalet have chosen a design with spacious and bright rooms. The interior style is dominated by bright and pleasant colors, as well as materials that radiate quality, while cultivating a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. The three bathrooms and the kitchen have been designed by the Dutch brand Baths by Clay, a specialist in creating visually striking and timeless bespoke furniture. Experts have opted for the widespread use of HI-MACS® Alpine White acrylic stone.

Balance, luminosity and purity

To create a balanced atmosphere in the bathrooms, custom-made HI-MACS® sinks have been made. The hanging, seamless countertops feature Baths by Clay ‘Basic 2.0’ built-in washbasins, all made of acrylic stone. The highlight of the design is the square drain cover, matching the linear appearance of the sink. A slightly rounded inner edge makes cleaning easy while striking a perfect balance between design and functionality. To achieve a uniform look throughout the bathroom, the fronts of the wall cabinets are also made of acrylic stone in the same Alpine White color. On the wall, HI-MACS® splash guards have been installed into which the power sockets are integrated, ensuring a homogeneous and safe design.

Acrylic stone has a particularly prominent place in the shower and extra toilet, as all the walls in these areas are clad with no visible joints. The silky matte elegance conveyed by HI-MACS® Alpine White is pleasant and warm to the touch, as well as providing greater luminosity due to its white hue. It also offers an unbeatable combination of design and functionality: the material is not only solid and resistant to scratches, but its flush installation without visible joints provides a very hygienic and easy-to-clean surface, as it leaves no room for bacteria to build up.

The heart of the home, elegant and spacious

Baths by Clay has brought the white elegance of the bathroom into the kitchen, where the impressive kitchen island has been custom created. It is a 4.80 m long L-shaped work surface with an integrated sink without visible joints and a 1.50 m breakfast bar that offers space for at least four people. All this has been done in HI-MACS® Alpine White.

The work surface is 7 cm thick and sits on undercounter cabinets that offer generous storage space. The ten drawer fronts and four doors are also made from the durable material of LG Hausys acrylic stone, which provides a uniform appearance to the entire set. Modern push-to-open technology achieves a flush, fluid design without interrupting the handles.

The kitchen design is completed by cabinets that occupy from floor to ceiling with the front parts made of HI-MACS®. Thanks to a height of 2.60 m, these cabinets offer even more space to store numerous kitchen utensils and food.

Thanks to the work of Baths by Clay and the elegance and resistance of the acrylic stone material, the result has been a kitchen that celebrates the art of cooking and becomes the area of ​​the house where food and well-being for the whole family merge.

As in many other housing projects, HI-MACS® manages to provide an aesthetically light and neat image, especially in the Alpine White hue. In addition, the qualities of the material provide resistant spaces and, thanks to its hygienic properties, provide peace of mind to the home, as it is easy to maintain and thanks to its design that prevents the accumulation of dirt and bacteria.
